New/Upcoming Albums? Jun 03 2008, 01:52 PM
Just wondering which albums you guys have purchased recently and what you're looking forward to in the near future? I just got the new Alesana and From First To Last albums, and I have to say they're both great. FFTL are very different but the new style suits the band without Sonny. The new Alesana album is simply amazing, everyone should get their hands on it, no matter how sick the things they have to do to get it are :)

The most recent purchase for me was a Hawthorne Heights album that I ordered - "The Silence in Black and White". Was rapped when it arrived ocz I thought I was just getting the CD & I got the bonus one with the DVD. Awesome!!!! What I am looking forward to - even more now really - is "The Black Parade is Dead" CD/DVD from My Chem. Has been delayed again (July 1st now) but the taste of it I saw is gonna be awesome.

I'm hoping to get my hands on both the new UnderOATH Live CD/DVD and CD. The CD/DVD is out, I just have no money.. The new CD is coming in September. It's going to be amazing, it has to be :P

Oh, and Matt, what d'you think of the new Alesana album? The range of screams on it is absolutely huge, I think they hit every range possible between without resorting to pig squeals. Haha. And the lyrics are amazing. I wouldn't mind just having a book of the lyrics, it would still be awesome! :P

Reviving an old topic. New Hawthorne Heights album released in USA today, 11th here in Europe. I've had it since last night, and it's really amazing. They've managed to continue on so strong without Casey. I'll always miss his screams, but it feels like the same band, like Casey is still there playing with them. Lyrically, the band have matured a lot too from their "cut my wrists and black my eyes" phase, and yeah, I know that's totally stereotypical, but everyone knows that line haha. :P All in all, I think it's the best HH album to date. :)

A two out of five star rating? Man that's outrageous! I'm SO getting the album regardless though. One of the first few 'different' bands I actually listened to. Plus I love the band too much not to buy it. However I shall give it a fair listen when I'm able to get it :]

Tantra I use to like them, but guess just haven't listened to them in ages. I have the new Hawthorne Heights album now and it seems fairly good. Probably a grower, unlike the older stuff that I instantly fell in love with. Since they hit the scene so many other bands have copied them and well bettered them in some cases.
