Have you been truely heartbroken before? If so how did you deal with it and how long did it take to move on?

I know how that feels. I was going out with this girl for four months, her friends hated me and were slowly making her choose between me and them. Me being the amazingly nice guy I am broke up with her so she didn't lose her friends, two days later I'd realised I'd just made the biggest mistake of my life, period. I beg and pleaded, I brought lillies(Her favourite flower)and chocolate, got onto my knees in the middle of town and begged her to give me another chance. She told me she wasn't ready for a relationship and we could be friends, then I found out she has a facebook account, guessed her password and that's when the truth started spilling out. Now just over two weeks on from the break up she's with another guy, I had to find out myself through her facebook because she just kept lying to me, makes me feel like a stalker tbh but I just want the truth. I used to have amazing control over my temper, but right now I just want to hit her new boyfriend however I'm scared to because I have my Dad's temper and that's got him sent to prison God knows how many times. I don't think I'd stop hitting him if I started. Yeah, I'm not really coping with my heartbreak.

^ I bet that situation is fairly common. Hopefully you will deal with it and move on to someone more trustworthy.

Dealing with it is pretty easy, moving on is the part I'll have trouble with seeing as I wasn't exactly confident as it was and this has just destroyed the little bit I actually had.

Hmm last summer I had a summer romance with my best friend Adam, all though we were only dating for a maximum of two weeks of that, he was the only guy to ever break up with me, and I cried myself to sleep before dinner, and after I woke up and ate I went and looked at his facebook and cried some more.... our "romance" had its flickers throughout the school year and I'm still having trouble getting over him...

I have :/ Its a long story And to be honest i didnt really cope... i pretty much went insane and cut off all my emotions.. thats the worst way of coping ever though i try to vent my emotions differently rather then cutting now.. for example poetry or art or music... it helps <3

Yeah, ive been heartbroken...a month or so ago, i was Dating a guy named Don, and he (i thought) was really sweet and kind. but some things that happened made us start drifting apart, it wasnt when he dumped me that left me heartbroken, it was when i found out he was keeping a calender from days 1-31 (a month exactly) that hed date me for, then when that month was up he was gonna dump me...i felt like a gutterfuck, i mean he kept track of the exact ammount of days we'd go out for. i pretended like it didnt hurt me, and he stayed with me for another 2 and a half months, but i got over him when he broke up with me, cuz i was realising that im better off with a guy who will love me timelessly.

my past 3 girlfriends all said i had the same problem i am too sweet whether it was their problems or mine i never know but in a relationship despite me putting my problems aside i always end up getting dumped ... whenever a girl breaks up with me i always strive to make sure its my fault ... why because like any normal human i dont want to cause any girl more pain then she deserves so naturally ive been more heartbroken then most but im sure perhaps one day i will find what im looking for whether its my self or a woman i don't know but im sure when the times right ill smile knowing it took me this long to find the girl of my dreams

my ex as many surely know abused me and since that well i am really aware and on my guard against guys because of that....! i will never ever let myself get hurt again like that..x

Once and it took me about a year to get over it and really i only started getting out there again but we all have to go through heartbreak to notice and appreciate when the right 'one' comes along and true love happens i guess =]
