proberly pretty obvoius but does your mood reflect on what music you listen to? for example when your happy do you put on happy pop punk music and when your sad do you put on heavy screamo or slow heartbroken songs? what mood are you in when you listen to emo, metal music etc? do you only listen to certain bands when your in certain moods or doesnt it matter?

I listern to soft or emo if im sad or thinking :( heavy rock like disturbed if I feel abit violent Drowning pool if I want to kill something :S Bullet for alot of things, they remind me of people, and sometimes angry. so yes my mood does make a difference.

Agree... I can't listen to Slipknot when I'm thinking about a cute girl I like, and I can't listen to We The Kings when I'm angry at somebody xD The more angrier I am the harder the music is...

Yeah, that is so how it's like for me. I've tried listening to Cradle Of Filth and SS when I'm in a good mood and it just doesn't work! Good Charlotte and Bullet For My Valentine are one of the few bands that can work both ways. Whether I'm sad, angry or happy they always seem to fit the mood. I take it we can tell what people are like by the taste of their music then. If someone is depressed all the time....would they even hear some happy, light music? This doesn't apply to all though, that is a fact. But yeah, nice topic Vicki. Hopefully some of the babies to the site will post. :D

The worst time which ive been feeling lately, I want to listern to music but I dont know what mood im in and what band to listern to :(

Mmm Vic mine does to some extent but moods can be so mixed up. Plus many songs can satisfy a range of different moods. Do you have favourite songs to listen to when your getting ready to go out?

hmmmm quite interesting answers as to me my mood doesnt particulally make much different i can gladly listen to a bit of heavy disturbed, korn, RATM when im feeling happy :D lol maybe just me then? some bands tho i do prefer to listen to when im in certain moods tho i guess, i like listening to ffaf when im feeling chilled/a little depressed and HIM/Creed/Alter Bridge when im concentrating on something like work, (something about their voices) def bands like MSI/disturbed/NIN/in flames etc when im geting ready to go out :D or party punk music like rancid, spunge, lit, story of the year, until the day i die and 3 doors down here without you normally makes me feel depressed tho :/ lol

I usally choose my music based on what's on my mind. And what song best describes it. sad- Emo music; soft. mad- screamo, pop. glad- whatever is playing. :)

Well I can listern to things like disturbed when im sad but I wont appreciate it as much as I would if I am angry and that goes for every mood and band for me,

I tend to listen to Babylon Zoo, Nine Inch Nails etc when I'm getting ready to go out. :D

When My Day is lighten up I really listen to some Happy Songs which is Pop Alternative or New Wave 80's Music,When I feel Bored I listen to Hip-Hop songs like Low By:Flo'Rida like Party Songs,When I feel that Im grounded and very mad at myself for something that I've done wrong I grab my Sony Ericsson's Express Music and listen to Screamo music but most of it I love Emotional a bit of pop-rock beats.

im a bit difernt cuz wen i get depresed i carnt lison 2 emo stuf cuz it wud mak it wors and i mit do sumthing stupid... wen im angry or anoyed i lison 2 metal or scremo and wen i just normal 4 me i lison 2 emo punk rock metal enything rely

yes mood does affect music choice. like wen i split with my gf i listened to just 3 doors down for like a week at least. atm my mood is goin with the band psychostick. listen to the dumb song by them its genius XD but i do also have bands i listen to no matter wot mood im in like MCR n metallica ^^

Yes it does matter just like all the above comments to say. However my "anytime" band is A Day To Remember for sure! i could never tire of them! <3333
