Dying Is Your Latest Fashion was emo. This Wars Is Ours.. I'm not so sure. They seem to have gone both more experimental and mainstream at the same time, less screams, but heading towards an orchestral sound at some parts. Ronnie's voice was definitely catchier, but it could never reach the ranges that Craig's does. My only really major disappointment is the standard of the lyrics. DIYLF wasn't the best, but it was still pretty damn good. The new songs I sometimes just don't sing whole lines of since they feel like they've been written by a child. :/ At first, I gotta say, I didn't like This War Is Ours at all, but it really grows on you.. I haven't been able to get "Let It Go" out my head all day. (:

I get what you're saying. The lyrics on this new one are a lot more simple, but also are a lot more catchy. And basically that's what a good pop song is. You can definitely tell if you just listen to the ballad, 2nd to the last song on the record. I was never a fan of ETF before but I am now. You can definitely hear the John Feldmann/the used influence and work in it which I love. I love craig's voice better than ronnie's as well. I just think some fans are going to be/are really disappointed in this record, BUT they'll gain a hell of a lot more fans because it is different. anyway, i can't get enough of it!!

i wonder if they will pull out again next year! that will be 3 times they have cancelled if they do!
