i did a survey to ask ppl in my school of "wat do u think about emos?" a lot of them said that we cry a lot and r woosies. dont we mosh?i do xP i just dont fight.well the reason is because ppl think we cry,cut ourselves,and think were wooses. i hate stereotypes...

a guy i know was playing this game it was called kill the emo, it was when you killed the emo while he cried and stuff, now hes emo, i kicked his ass for it.

y people hate emos is because there jealous that we can actually have feeling and can have real fun. they hate us cos we have kewl clothes, awsome hair and the most kick ass shoes. they hate us cos we're different and dont follow all there stupid trends. so really they hate us because we're us!

cause they say its not normal my friends been trying to change for a while she hates the way i dress and lots of things about me my hair shes been trying to get me to dye my hair a solid color forever

People tend to stereotype us into being cutters and whatnot. They don't know what they're talking about. Not everyone cuts. You can be a cutter and not be emo at all.

At my school, there's virtually no discrimination. There's emos, goths, punks, metalheads, homosexuals, etc., and from what I've seen, they're all treated normally. Anyways, people who hate emos are simply bigots. It's that simple.

Those people who say that stuff are full of themselves. They think that everyone is below them. They are so far up they're own asses they can brush their teeth, like they would. Theres been a war between emo and chav culture since they were created. I mean they've always been there we've just become labled.

People hate it cause of the looks AND cause most people who call themselves "emo" today changed the whole fucking meaning of it and turned it into something I would call GAY and RETARDED. My opinion. Of course "regular" or casual people thinks it looks weird. You guys are a minority of people who walk outside. Same with punkers and others though it's pretty more wide than the whole "emo" scene.

I just want to punch the people that don't understand. They think that we're weak and vunerable but infact we may be very depressed but if we build up all the little bits of anger floating around inside us we could probably have the energy and power to kill someone. They think so little of us its unbelievable.

lol this topic is funny because i honestly cant picture the people you speak of... in my neighborhood basically everyone follows the scene fashion trend but they basically use the term emo to describe the self mutilators in our area... there are few emos in the area tho... mostly all the people here are either preps, jocks or the nasty preps that dont act gurly at all but still wear stuff like holister and abrocombie and finch

wear i live noone is out hating emos.. its just a different culture to follow. same as punks goth gravers shufflers gangsters.. lol there is no hate flying around. i do get the occasional jab at my haircut, but i bet they're just jealous of my berries ;)

they are afraid because they dont understand us the masses fear what isnt "normal" that hate emos to hide the fear of the unknown just like they hate on gay lesbian and bisexuals in my opinion anyways

Because they think, we sit around everyday complaining about our lives, saying we have hard lives, and cry and cut and so on, because they think, we're all like the stereotypes... Which we are not... Like, cutting... One of my not-emo-friends thinks we all cut, and you can't be emo without cutting, and all who cuts are emo... And then there's them who're like: OMG! You think, you have a hard life? LOOK AT AFRICA! Then we have them, who thinks, we do it to get attention... And I think, that's the mainreasons, oh and then there's them, who just hates us, because they have to hate something, because it's 'cool' to bully other people...
