What ways do you get into new music: friends, tv, websites...? How do you get new music: buy cds, download or just stream on the Internet...?

well, i would type in a genre on Ares sometimes pick random groups see if any are good and then search of similar artist, television and radio are cool, also i have found many songs through AMVs and just normal Youtube videos, sometimes last fm as well

I tend to use Lastfm, Myspace and Youtube for getting into new bands. Then if I have the time I check out sites such as Amazon to read album reviews. I rarely buy actual cd's..

^ CD's on my island are too expensive lol, for now i stick with downloading, but i'm going to but CD's of my fav bands when i travel and or get richer lol But also, looking in CD stores was a way i used to look for new music as well, the person in the store is always kind enough to play it for me as well. O i also forgot i also used to look at Wikipedia , i just had to type in " emo bands" and they would give me a list of bands in alphabetical order, i would then read into them to see if they were really emo or not.

I look at the introducing section in music magazines and check the bands out online before buying there stuff. :)

Rock Sound is the best. You get a CD every month with it too. :)

my friend is sorta the "dj" for my school fairs so he has tonnes of songs that i scab off him :P but sometimes when i hear songs in the background i try to find out what it is cuz its gona anoy me for weeks
