Song/ poem .. what do you think its about? The same song that simple tune I close my eyes and dream of you But what if when the nightmares come I’m trapped a sleep with nowhere to run I need to be right next to you so all my nightmares won’t come true Maybe when I wake and scream you can just pinch me Make me realize it is just a dream and that you are still here next to me I know that you can never see how much I burn with untold misery I stop and then I realize I need my world to stay alive But what if now the world would leave who would be left to bury me It’s gotten so bad I feel like I need to pay taxes just to breathe For every breath even the simple sigh of my world keeps me alive But what if time wasn’t on my side and I’d be cursed to watch her die Or maybe one day she will be lost and swept away, or maybe she just won’t want to stay And then what will be left of me? I don’t know, I hope I’ll never see I ponder how life would be without her love to steady me Safely tucked I hold her in my arms, but she is the one who keeps me warm Never would she guess how much I’d die if she were to leave, how empty I would be inside I know she thinks it me she needs, but she doesn’t know her departure could bring me to my knees She smiles and she enjoys her life, not knowing the pain which I would feel inside If she were to get up and leave my side But just for her sake, if she were to leave, only when she can’t see me would I begin to bleed.
