Funfact: Emo has absolutely nothing to do with cutting. That's just the stereotyping bull that the media forced upon us all when it hit the mainstream. Bands like Spitalfield, Bleed The Dream and Dead Poetic were proud to be known as emo up until about 2004 when (in the words of Brandon Rike) the word "Emo" was misused, mistreated and made completely and utterly disgusting. To put it simply, anyone that thinks to be emo they HAVE TO cut themselves, has absolutely no idea what emo is.
