Like the direction of the wind changes So too do the tides of love Pulled by the moon and soaked up by the sun, the calmest waters cannot satisfy love Neither is one safe treading along the shores, the waters pull you in and then crush you In an instant the calm seas turn into tidal waves, sweeping the boat into a mess of woe The boat is crushed and all that is life is the a solitary raft Once a proud ship, eroded by the cruel waters Love has drawn many in, but few find the eye of its storm Many peril because of its violence, its merciless torment Love has rocked many boats before, sinking them to the depths The whirlpool of love it shakes you up and keeps you down, making you think that there is no escape, no hope But there is hope… The tidal waves of love have lifted many high above the clouds Many have broken free from the whirlpools grip Some are even able to play on the shores, stay away from the waters harm But they do not know what they are missing out on Some peril at sea, some could not brave the storm But those who have overcome all the strongest winds, feared not the watery grave We must not let the storm destroy us for love is a storm, but in the eye we must live. Good poem and I liked the analogy to the sea and such. I think this is meaningful as far as I can see.

What happened to EmoJesus epic fail... Anyway I quite enjoyed this poem and most of yours have a lot of depth. Do they take long to write?

no.. not really they takes 10 minutes or if they are a long poem maybe 20 .. this one took about... 8-10 Once i get the rhythm going nothing can stop me, for me to write poetry its just a matter of pouring my heart out, if my feelings on the topic are not strong then it would not come out as good as it could be, if i am confused at the time i will ramble ^^ Thanks for the positive feedback Matt EJ just needs some prayers ^^

Have you ever thought doing poems based off of analogies involving the moon? I find personally that these are the most meaningful. If you have any work like this I would love to see it.

^thanks dr happy.. i am not too sure if i have a poem that has analogies to the moon.. i was feeling one coming this week dunno why,( something about space.. and it won't get out of my head) :) how odd .. ill prob work on one this weekend when i got time
