Sometimes ... we try to hold on to things and we lose them. The when we look back at it all we wonder.. was it worth it? Why try? Why is it that every time I try to save someone from dying I end up bleeding Save someone from crying I end up weeping Wake someone up I end up sleeping Why can’t I hold the ones I want close without hurting? Is this some sort of learning? Its burning Every time I look at the ones I love and where they are today I wish I’d never tired In the end my emotions just die All that is left is an unheard cry I wish they could hear me Or at least try I am always left alone Left to wallow In pity Left To Die Why Try? (2) Why try to change the waters flow or force flowers to grow? Why try to make the weather change? Why try to make it snow? Why should I try to save the soul of one who would never know? Why try to let frail feelings live? Why try to let them show? Why should I try to push the hand of fate? Why push with a broken arm? Why try to fight when I can’t move? Why try to protect people from harm? Why try to erase the coldness? Why try to make people warm? Why should I try to live? When love just causes harm Stephonz, November 14th, 2009
