I thought we needed a forum for this. I'm an amature vocalist, i'm trying to develop my screams to a decent point before joining a band as a vocalist. i wanna hear from ppl who can do it; how long and how did you learn, ppl learning to do it; how are you going about it, and ppl who listen to it, what do you like to hear. posting some videos or some adeo would be groovy. but yer that what this post is for. Let me tell you about my experience. metal head since 2003. past year i've discovered the desire to sing/scream. i've watched a tonne of you tube on screaming, i find it pretty unhelpful. i watched the mallisa crass zen of screaming dvd, most of it is bullshit that is just filler for the dvd, tought me a few things though, seems the technique is to do it softly and powerfully and let the mic do the volume. but when i do it it sounds shitty soo i dunno. keen to hear from some other ppl. ciao peace

apparently i'm the only screamer here. i've had to stop practising cause i have a throat infection from inhaling too much dust at southbound :(

I have certainly read on other girls and guys profiles that they are screamers. Not sure who though at the moment.

well scream its good i heard if you drink egg uncooked in a cup and brawr it in the throat you get a clean noisey voice... i love screamo and i think its a good way to develop your voice to levels of a lead vocalist in an emo band...

urg but i dont tink i could cut it drinking a raw egg. but then i guess you could say something cheesy like the egg puts the raw in my RAWRR haha
