Does Hope Exist? Alone on stage the curtain falls All alone I’ve lost it all The trap door opens the everlasting fall No one to save me, no one to call. I gaze above as the tunnel darkens All of my faith has been dampened No one to love no one to care All alone, no one is there. The feeling of falling can cause a terrible fit, TO find relief, the pain I slit. Yet, I still fall, I’m losing it all. Who cares if I die? No one wiped the tears from my eyes No one held my hand to led the way Now I’m falling to a fatal landing. But- Eventually I can no longer cry I touch my face the tears are dry I scream for help the echo replies Something’s out there to save my life. If only I could reach to grab the sound The wind surrounds me, my fall slows down I feel warmth inside my heart Something’s out there Something’s bigger than the dark The light aluminates the dark pit. Abruptly I land, without a scratch To light the way I have a match. With this light by my side I run through the darkness with the light The candle burns the dark of night. I fear no ghost for a ghost I know *1 To doubt would be foolish These things don’t happen by chance Learn from experience, the truth will be revealed I write to you all so the message will grow I have found salvation from the terrible fright I now know why there are stars at night I will keep walking in the light 1 reference to the song Danger Wildman by The Devil Wears Prada Stephonz Blackman April 11th, 2010 ©
