it could if you worked hard at it but if its online then people cheat more because the other isnt there to find out in their minds what they dont know wont hurt them and they cant find out.

Its how I found my Emma-Lea =] We have been faithful to one another and tell one another everything, we've goten over when we broke up. If you trust one another and are in love it works =] Can even end up living together like us in a year =D

Well if they do and you cannot meet it's fine to stay in contact, but consider finding someone closer you can meet easily.

Me and Emma live in different countries, I guess it's kinda not what you mean as it's only England and Wales but I'm gonna give up everything I have right now in a year or two to live closer to my true love. What you have to remember is theres more pain as there's more distance and it's easier for things to go wrong, but you have to remember all relationships have their ups and downs, but if you're in love it can work out. You'd be surprised at the statistics of people who get married after meeting online. Any kind of relationship can work, but all relationships are based on trust and commitment. Lets be honest we have all had our hearts broken at one time or another, but there is always one person you wish you could make things better with, if you dont feel that way when things go wrong then if you're in an online relationship it wont work. If you are in love though you will do anything to make it work including leaving everything you have and not just saying you're willing to.

I think... they could work, if theres, as everyone has said, a chance of meeting. Without that its just falling in "love" with words on a screen- it's more of a fantasy a reality in my opinion. But sure.. if you can meet that person eventually, I think not having to speak face to face all the time can help build trust and reduce the clingy-ness lotsa people get in rl relationships. :3
