this was inspired by my sister I sit and try to make you proud, My voice is quiet even though i feel loud, I am still just her shadow, Why can't you just let go, I have showed my worth in these last days, Working hard while other kids play, She was good once, that i kno, But she stopped, she let the dream go, But i'm still trying why can't you see, The voice and talent inside of me, Because you were so proud of her, Your blinded and i'm not nothing like her, Just a shadow who meerly lingers, Even though i could be with the singers, To you i have no talent, so you never try, To help fulfill my dreams, let me touch the sky, I'm useless,pathetic and nothing like her, She hasn't sang in forever, I guess i'm just her small dark shadow, Because of her old talent, you won't let go...

breezy you are not just a shadow even if they cant see it you have talent. i like the poem as well good job!

i kno but its so frustrating, because my sister used to be such a great singer they won't even aknowledge my talents because their so set on having one talented kid. but they need to realise shes given up on her dreams and i'm working hard on mine. she stopped trying then she met her boyfriend then she started smoking and wrecked her whole singing career.

have you ever tried talking to them about it? maybe you should try and incorproate them a little more maybe that will make them relize what your trying to do and what they are doing to you.

keep fighting to achieve your dream.. dnt let anyone stop you. I always say when there is a will there is a way. I mean you can sing and You are a good writer. You got talent :. Good luck in your future endeavours. You can be the lights that makes the shadow disappear.
