Contacts Vs. Glasses Aug 07 2010, 02:52 PM
I just got my trial contacts today and I have my follow up in 1 week I have an astigmatism in both eyes (my left eyes still has almost perfect vision tho) so I am just curious... those of you with eye problems (or even without) what do/ would you prefer and why?

well I have almost perfect eyesight and don't use anything to help my eyes. But I prefer glasses. it kinda makes some people look good. Also I don't think I'd like to have to put contacts in my eyes.

its not hard... I got them in on my 2nd try... I was only allowed (by the doc.) to wear them for 3 hours today and I LOVED them but when I put my glasses back on they gave me an instant headache... but thats cool that you have almost perfect vision... my parents joke about me being blind as a bat because I was almost legally blind in my right eye 3 years ago

I have worn contacts for a number of years and had no issues really.

It depends.. I mostly wear contacts but some days my eyes get really irritated by them. Recently I've been wearing my glasses to try save a bit more money. xD I don't really think I suit glasses though.

I'm almost completely blind and have a slight squint in one eye. I wear glasses all the time. One time I tried to move onto lenses a few years back and the optition went to put one in and missed and it went wandering through the white of my eye which hurt like a bitch. Ever since I've been to scared to try again ):

It's bad when you try to take them out when you already have. I'm silly haha! Bex got any pics of you in glasses?

I often wear glasses at home and wear contacts when I go out. I really don't like either of them but if I had to choose I'd say...I prefer contacts, 'cause they're easier to carry around and doesn't feel like I'm wearing them; I even once forgot that I've put them on; went washing my face and one of them went sliding down the sink! I spent that week wearing a contact in one eye! lol

Well I have to wear reading glasses, but it depends on what you're doing. Sometimes for style, glasses are nice, but if you're moving around a lot, contacts wouldn't be so bad.
