Um so i think im bipolar but im not entirly suure. Ive searched the symtoms of manic depression and it sounds alot like me as im often like rly talkative and funny around my friends but sometimes im rly depressed and i cut. Ive been cutting for about a year now but recently ive been cutting more and much more deep. I want to talk to my GP but i dont know what my mum would think and it would be really awkward and shes rly against 'emo''goth' etc.. so i dont know what to do :/

go talk to your school nurse they can help you out and that way you can get the advice you need without going to your mum about seeing your GP and that way you can stop cutting and harming yourself :) i hope you recover honey xx

I'm bipolar, and there is really nothing else you can do but talk to a doctor/nurse/someone you can trust and get it seen to, because if you are bipolar and you don't get medication/therapy or whatever, most of the time your life will be very difficult to live. It isn't just being very depressed or and not, there is a lot more to it, and it's often when people think they have bipolar, they are really just suffering from some sort of depression. Whatever issues you are having, it's important to speak to a professional about it.

I'm just curious about something, I thought when someone is bipolar it means they have two different, split personalities, like one min they can be all happy and content etc. and then the next min, they're crazy, mean etc. like they are a totally different person from who they were before when they were in a good mood. Isn't that also part of it?

I'm bipolar, n' the best thing to do is to tell someone that gets you n' won't laugh at you, because some people will. But make sure that person helps you get to a doctor.
