i must say that i agree to some point with the person above .. but thanksgiving is if i am not wrong about the colonists and they celebrating when the harvest is done or was it maybe the pilgrims.. xD some of the two was it or both or whatever lolz :'D but i think that celebration is ok to some point yeah it seems to be such a i dunno warm and happy thing to be at (not that i have been at one thou D: !) but i guess i would like to be at a thanksgiving dinner just because that i love the autumn and winter so much being a swede and all :D <3

eh im american but i dont agree with the holiday..i agree with being thankful for all the things you have..but making a bunch of food and having those awkward conversations with your family isnt really all that fun..but Happy Turkey Day anyways

Well, in all honesty my family doesn't celebrate it because of the whole pilgrims thing. I despise the fact that people often forget that almost immediately after the Native Americans helped the pilgrims, the pilgrims started to take over their home and destroy their populace with disease. We're probably just a bit bitter since most of my background hails from non-blonde-haired-blue-eyed Europeans and Native Americans, so we remember the years after Thanksgiving more than the actual event itself. That; And Thanksgiving is for being thankful, not about the pilgrims and all that jazz. At least for me.
