A museum, Such a terrible escape from the world Sterile, lonesome walks through a skewed Lens of a peculiar version of life Such gorgeous portraits Noble creatures partaking in grisly affairs Or victims of new ideas forced down from above There I found an eagle in Delirium Struggling for existence Fluttering heavenward Dipping toward the earth Hovering in a frozen purgatory So many corrosive forces Pulling me towards Hell Implosions on my heart And vacuums stretching my soul ever outward The golden knight Shot thru with the new order’s Ball and powder And a foot-trap’s icy clamp His hot breath Billowing cloudy and sulfurous He struggles toward chivalrous heights Wings open and demanding A time when one should be ready to succumb Just lie down and die In snowy pasture Yet a new determination Forces me to climb To those healing boughs of honor But Life’s rough scars Confine me to this Dante’s Limbo Feeling alone In the snow The sterile, cold reality of Walton Ford’s landscapes My own Tigers of Wrath Tear me down And Horses of Instruction Send me up to manhood And so Delirium With his upward gaze And breath of heavy smoke Wrenches my heart And there are Footprints On My Ceiling Bearing witness to what Old Man Mike knows: Bottled up Delirium Will drown you

wow! this work is.. superb! well written, interesting, good use of imagery, allusion to things such as purgatory and Dante.. why.. I am highly impressed!

haha Impressive perhaps one might partake in many of the same indulgences i do then perhaps not none the less good show at least until next time

Well thank you bleeding dream - that poem pretty well set the tone for the next three years of my life - at the time I wasn't a full time smoker or a whiskey drunk - tho I was indulging in both those by that next january, LOL - pretty straight edge these days tho. Thanks again tah tah for now
