Why is it that I could never get your approval?? Anything I did you never even acknowledged it... I did things just to have you notice me I told you about football but you just walked out the door Then after you started your name calling and wouldn't even hear me out I tried my best to get you to praise me... But as I grow older you put even more distance between us... I turned to cutting to ease the pain you made me feel The years have passed by us so fast I can't even remember the last time I heard you say "I love you and I'm very proud." Finally I'll let you know that I'm thankful you kept your distance from me because I would never have learned that you can't trust some men in life...

As someone who has a ZERO relationship with her father, I can totally relate to this. :( It sucks because our fathers are the one man we are supposed to be able to trust, but it hardly ever works out that way. They are supposed to be the man we model our boyfriends after. I would never want anybody like my 'Dad.'

thts true... And me neither cuz i wouldnt want my future kids to feel the same pain tht my 'dad' made me feel cuz it rlly hurts...
