Surgery Issue/Piercings Mar 10 2011, 02:08 PM
I just had surgery Monday and had to take all of my piercings out. I was just wondering, if I get my piercings redone around Spring Break time (April) will the scar tissue be soft enough? I really, really want my hip piercings, septum, belly rings, and lip ring (I'm going to get snakebites this time) back. I'm just stressed about it. The guy I went to for my 4th navel ring said they can't repierce over scar tissue and the guy I went to for my industrial bar said that was bull so I'm slightly confused. I understand that it would hurt more, but does it screw with how the piercing sets?

idk about the hip piercings..the septum you might be able to get back if they can get the needle through the scar tissue but there isnt much skin or whatever there to do it a bit higher or lower..your belly piercings should be fine..and your best bet for your lip piercings is to get it pierced right next to where the old one was because i couldnt get the needle through the scar tissue when i tried piercing mine again

It is possible to do on scar tissue, when I redid my lip I did it at the exact same spot as first time. Did hurt abit more, but went fine to get it done at the same place through scar tissue.

Thanks n_n My navel didnt close up, and I had some trouble with my septum and industrial buhh I had to get my lip tapered since I left it out for about a week (my sister tried to put it in for me when I got out of surgery buh she's a ditz and didn't realize my face was all swollen, I about choked on the post when she dropped it). All's well now though, I'm juss waiting for my right lip ring and hips to heal. Cx
