I need somebody and always This sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting everytime, and as I stared I counted the webs from all the spiders catching things and eating their insides I miss you, by Blink-182

Hair Volumizer...Any Suggestions? Mar 12 2011, 10:01 PM
Does anyone know of any good hair volumizing products? I'm on the lookout and I was wondering if there were any recommendations. Of course, it would be helpful for you to know what kind of hair I have and what look I'm going for, so here goes: I have slightly waved hair that is EXTREMELY layered. The shortest layer barely touches my ears, and the longest goes down to just above the middle of my back. I may get another top layer at my crown so I can spike it up if I wish soon. My hair type is thick and fine-ish. The look I'm going for is just BIG. I despise flat hair. I went through a phase where all I did was put my hair up in a low (and quite unflattering) ponytail in my childhood, and now that I am finally embracing my feminine side I am extremely inspired by rockstar-ish hair. I think the 'scene' look is nice. The reason I am going this route is because I have come to the conclusion I have no idea how to backcomb (tease) hair and when I try...It looks quite terrible. It also is notorious for damaging hair. (Or so I've heard.) Also, I blowdry my hair upside down and brush it that way too. So, if you have any suggestions on what I can do to make my hair nice and fluffy, including products I should use, that would be lovely! I greatly appreciate it.

I use this Samy Fat Hair "0" Calories Amplifying Mousse thing... But like you just need to find one that works for you. Like you put it in damp hair and dry it upside down... I have pretty curly hair so after I straighten it upwards and like curl it down a bit... if that makes sense? Anyway hopefully that'll help.

yeah actually it's easiest if, when your hair is dry, you take a dry towel and rub the back of your head/crown of your head really hard for a while. it makes it stand up and stay that way and it comes out really easy and doesn't destroy your hair.

well, i dunno if this helps but, i just realised that i can get my hair like twice as big iff i dont use any product after washing it, i used to have a leave in conditioner and then mousse then try hairspray it up.. didnt work. but i find if i blowdry then straighted as soon as i get out of the shower, the hairspray works a million times better ;D
