The thunder rolls in And the waves of cold air crash I no longer shed any tears The sky will do that for me Looking at my bruising shins As blurriness will pass I hold against myself, every fear And wait for tomorrow, when I can see Your hand is creeping onto mine I leave lips swelling, red Our sparkling conversations The smell of sweat, cigarette smoke And the harsh sun will shine We will sleep like the dead I carry with me observations To truths I've never known In this moment I remember Like music boxes in my head The taste of lime from me to you We have yet so much to explore Caverns as deep as dark December But we can always grow warm instead I hope that I never come to my senses And we can lay together, listening to the storm.
