The scars on my heart Cause the scars on my skin They're not meant, not really They're just from within They're weapons of restraint With a cool, thin, sharp blade The the monster inside me With it, shall be slayed It makes my thoughts clearer When I can see for myself What this deep hole inside me Has done for my health But there lies a problem I don't want YOU to see The beast in my heart That slowly kills me So I'll try to stop, only So I can once again hide My demons of past That I've kept locked inside.
