I am currently trying to become song writer an have been given the chance to help write a song for music label in L.A. I want to write a song but have a piano for the only instrument. I have writers block really bad and was just wondering...what usually inspires you to write? (if you do write)

That's an amazing opportunity! I'm v.v.v. jealous :L When I'm writing a song or a poem, I just wait until I feel a strong emotion, then just write, write, and don't stop writing til I have nothing more to write. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be your emotions in your words. Then, just arrange it so it makes musical sense :)

The moon, the sun, snow, rain, humour, sex, lust, tempation, the tide, paintings, literature, memories of early childhood and sometimes animals < Thats just me, these things variate from ninja to ninja :P Plus I'm not sure if you'd be able to express all that on a piano. :P

it may sound pessimistic :p but... I write when I'm sad. Pain inspires me ^^ I'm feeling more sensitive when something hurts me... Love is 2 a good inspiration to me=p

I agree with RiRi and souu. It also helps me to go outside for a walk. Look at the sky, and the nature ~ ^^

Agreed. We have a forest over the back fence. That's a great place for inspiration and to reflect on your life.

^ agreed! forests r surely a great place to be inspired by and to reflect upon things ..and i do love open like meadows and beaches too to take inspiration from or even graveyards...

music when i listen to music sometimes a word they say gives me a really good idea for a song or poem
