I'm having trouble breathing, and if i don't think fast i'm likely to find myself here for good, panic sets in as i start to question, why i see you standing there behind the glass... Oh, How The Mighty Have Fallen, by Alesana

@EmoRacer It all depends on what you want to do with your hair. I was reviewing your pics and I can see you already have it razored. I can see that you've developed a good sense of front/nape length so I wouldn't really adjust the overall appearance. Your jaw line is sexy so I would accentuate it by growing my hair 1 1/2 inches or so below my jaw line then razoring only the back portion. Keep the length in your face a little, it'll add a little more mystery. With your face shape/color I would avoid black hair. Would you say your face is more.. Red or pale? Blue or yellow? Light or dark? What do you want to do with your hair? Do you like the way it is currently or do you want to change it? Do you want to color it? How do you picture yourself with it? ^^ I can help you more if I know the answers to these questions.

Thanks for your help and in answer to your questions: My face skin colour is well neither pale nor that tanned. My eyes are green. Why do you think I should avoid black? I have had black hair before, but considering a very dark brown. I like my fringe just above my eyes really as it's far too much hassle for me to have it much longer. I think I just need to get some more layers/volume/choppyness into it.

@Lost_and_Unfound Think of your hair like a prism. Light enters the hair strands are your eyes interpret what they see. If your hair is brown and red but you want it to be brown and dark brown then the first thing you need to do is attempt to neutralize the red. The complimentary color of the primary color red is the secondary color green. Green is also called ash in the industry. So you need an ash brown to remove the red from your hair. green + red = brown The exact portions will require experimentation because I can't see your hair and I don't know how red it is. Is the red all over? If you want to add a darker brown then do it after you neutralize the red out of your hair. If your hair is really curly and you can't seem to control it with a flat iron, and you want it stick straight, depending on how deep your wallet goes, you can get it chemically straightened. This will make it stay much straighter and with a flat iron you can make your hair straighter then it's ever been. Like most of us, if your wallet isn't deep then you have to do what we all do. I would recommend, however, that if you're going to blow dry your hair before you straighten it, blow dry it downward assisting the drying process with an air-forming brush, (A brush with ridges in the back of it to allow air from a blow dryer through it.) Blow dryers can get really hot and they do practically the same thing as a flat iron then when you go to flat iron, the hydrogen bonds have already reformed from the blow drying. To assist this blow dry the hair the way you want to flat iron it. When you go to flat iron it, you'll notice much more success for your efforts. With any color service I recommend going to a salon because some, (Not all, but some,) box dye sets have metallic salts that can over heat during a chemical process and cause strange colors to appear. Copper can turn green.. So if you've ever seen an unsightly green tint in hair it's a sure sign of metallic salts in box dye. Because you're doing a tint back, (Color correction,) for this project, I would more then likely go to a salon. Tell them what you want and they'll do everything I mentioned above for you. Wow, this post isn't long enough. lol

@EmoRacer Based on your skin tone, as best as I could see, it seems like black screams a little bit more then it should. For some reason, natural colors seem to look best on you. These synapses are limited by what I can see on your profile ^^ If your face is neither blue nor yellow then I would say you're neutral or warm. People with cold features often appear blue. Theirs no mistaking a person with cold features. This means that blue would help cool down your hot face. If you get what I mean. lol So I would recommend, instead of a black, a blue-black combination. I would go to a salon, say you want to go blue-black. I would request a level 2 or 3 black, (You can use my terms, they use the same measurement system,) with at least 1/2 of the ratio being a blue intensifier. This will cool down the black and it'll compliment your face. It'll make the black appear natural, which will assist your other features as well. If you prefer to have your hair above your eyes, consider having them razor a side fringe. I've got one right now. It shouldn't prevent you from getting a little length. How do women do it all day? More often then not, they have their hair textured diagonally over their eyes. This way you can get a little more length and you can still see! I thought your hair was already razored. If it isn't, then do it. Go to a salon, get a hair cut, tell them you want to trim off the dead ends, you want your hair texturized with a razor down the mid length of your hair to the ends. Razoring will make you ten times sexier. Razoring is a form of texture that has results similar to layering and thinning. ^^ That's my fashion advice for you.

My hair naturally is a medium brown, but i have blonde highlights in it right now, just in the front and then underneath on the back, but not the whole way around.. and I'm used to having darker hair, but i was considering lighting my hair this year, like during summer just throw some lemon in and tan while im doing that :3 but if i do eventually go blonde, i wanted a red peekaboo underneath.. not a RED red... but more of an aburn or dark red. What do you think??

It would look really good on you. ^_^ Make sure you give the red some dimensions. If you simply put it underneath all of the way around, it COULD turn out good, but if you were to leave anything in front of your ears along, it may turn out better.

It actually looks quite similar to your default pic. They did cut the fringe a tad short though. I said I want it so it falls just on my eyebrows but it's just above them. Soon grow anyway!

In order to get to purple, you need to bleach your hair first, then put it on top of it. Because you've got ethnic hair it may be more difficult to do this then you'd think. Also the purple won't be bright, it'll be more of a dark or medium violet at best. Emo hair styles always tend toward the razor so I would recommend that.. It depends on what you want to do.. What're you trying to do with your hair besides turn it purple? Any other thoughts or ideas on how you're going to style it? Let me know and I can give you more advice.
