She placed her hand on the heart and swore, Every last one of them, Will bring me youth, beauty, bliss galore, Close my eyes, And the basin was filled every night she dined, In the den of iniquity, And my sorrow filled reverie, Close my eyes . Elizabeth, by Aiden

Stupid Bedbug :P Apr 26 2011, 10:42 PM
Well, one morning I was going to post one my many many poems here, and I found a bedbug in the book. :( so while my poems are in the freezer for two weeks I'm watching the poem forums. I'm noticing that people always want feedback on their poems and of course we prefer it to be good feedback, but negative has it's appreciations. I'm just wondering, why should whether others appreciate your poem matter? It's written to fulfill some personal discontentment, so I don't feel others thoughts should dictate whether or not you're posting poems.

I think you are very right with the idea that people write poetry to express something that is important or close to them in a creative way. I personal always put please post positive or negative feedback, not because it will determine what I write and whether I will write but just to let people know that they can be open with their feeling about the message Im presenting but not really the way that Im presenting it.
