...People are mean, arrogant jerks. Should we be proud of who we are? I thought we could be proud of things that we can't really change about ourselves too, like race, nationality, gender, etc. Am I wrong? Some people seemed to think so, they said to F*CK pride because they don't care. I voiced my opinion respectfully and was shot down when I stood up for my beliefs. They said that pride leads to arrogance, and I never denied that. I said I didn't condone arrogance. They said that we shouldn't be proud of things we can't change, but our accomplishments. I agree, but what about the accomplishments the things we can't change have made, such as women's suffrage or gay/civil rights? People should be proud because they have pushed through adversity, right? I'm confused.

aint nothing wrong with pride! only time their is a problem is if it leads to feelings of superiority, then it gets tricky. Its like everything ,good side,bad side.

To put it simply, proud = good. Too proud = bad.

Theres nothing wrong with pride except.., Abuse to feel superior. No one is better than anyone, anyone who says different will die alone.
