So my parents want to take me clothes shopping for school, n' they want to take me to Goodwill...I really don't want to go to that store! It's embarrasing knowing that I can't even afford good new clothes. I just want to go to Hot Topic n' get everything there. Goodwill has nothing emo...

I understand how you feel, but honestly, at least you're getting new clothes. I'm not being a goody two shoes or whatever, I'm just being honest. I know a girl who has to wear the same things she's had since the 8th grade, which just sucks. But what can you do? Try to take those 'used' clothes from Goodwill and add your own twist to them. That way they'll look just as awesome as any Hot Topic brand clothes. And no one will be the wiser...

A lot of my clothes are second hand, either cuz I bought them off ebay or they're hand me downs from my brother XD If they're not, then they're most likely bought from a sale from a store like Primark or New Look xD I prefer it that way tbh, you can get more clothes for less money :D and trust me, you can make almost anything look emo :) like OnxyAngel said, you can change them if you like to suit your style, and if you add a little eyeliner and a choppy hairstyle - voila! C'est simple! :)

I agree with what's been said above, getting second hand clothes and modifying them is the best way to get unique clobber! I've had tonnes of stuff from charity shops which I've altered. Sometimes you can get something and just cut it up if you like the colour/pattern to embellish other plainer clothes

Charity shops are like treasure troves. If you look through them you might find some really nice stuff.

Yeah, charity shops can have some really cool stuff! You shouldn't be ashamed, not everyone can affored Hot Topic all the time. I certainly can't. I shop at department stores and such and modify clothes or whatever. It makes you more unique, anyways. And no one will know unless you tell them. Stuff at Goodwill hsa to be tops if they plan on re-selling. It's not gunna look ratty and used or anything.

Just make sure that you 'wash' everything before you actually wear it. A lot of people would have picked it up, touched it, maybe even tried it on. Always wash before you wear. Always o_o

To be honest, stuff only from Hot Topic is overrated. It literally guarantees you'll see someone wearing the same something as you. I personally hate that. Just know your style and you'll be fine, clothes can be adjusted with the proper tools at home and there's bound to be some diamonds worth of clothes.

Are you kidding me? o_o' I LIVE in those kind of shops. There's this place called Mania & I go there every Wednesday, they don't have emo stuff, except some old metal band t-shirts. What I'm saying is, anything can be emo with an imagination. Get loads of stripey tops, they're full of them. Plain black t-shirts, there's this coca-cola shirt I got which is wicked, any cardigan's & some dark jumpers [: With some bead necklaces, bracelet's & right amount of hairspray & eyeliner, you'll look better than anything from Hot Topic [; Because what you'll be wearing will be unique ^-^ xxx
