splat hair dye experiences? Jul 13 2011, 04:26 PM
Hey, so a few days ago, I went out and bought splat! hair dye. It's dark blue, and it comes with bleach. I have dark brown hair, so I have to bleach it. But has anyone have any experience with it? And how long does it usually stay in your hair?

You may not need to bleach your hair. My hair's really bright and I've never bleached it and it was dyed from dark brown (:

i just baught the splat hair dye with 3 colours in it. the bleach is in my hair now >.>

I've never used Splat, but I've used Stargazer and Directions straight from mid brown and neither came out the colour they were meant to, and neither lasted very long (you could hardly tell I'd dyed my hair at all after 2 weeks). If you want the colour on the pack, and it to last how long it's supposed to, you probably need to bleach it.

Its good. But don't use it for dyeing eyelashes and eyebrows. Be sure that the hair is clean and dry. Bridal Hairstyle

Never EVER use splat! It takes forever to get out of your hair! I dyed mine red before dec. of last year n' again around Dec. cuz it was comin out. Now I want it out so I can go blonde. I tried to bleach it out n' now it's orange! So be careful!

So be careful!" thats a load of bs! unless you like never wash your hair.... i dyed mine rainbow like 2 days ago from platinum blonde, and i shower daily. now the colour is almost gone back to blonde. if it come out in a week of just washing your hair, its crap in my opinion. next time i might try manic panic.

^^ You don't have to be a jerk about everything. Try not to hurt other people's feelings. Way to tell me I don't wash my hair.

I use stargazer on bleached hair, it comes out great :3 just did more pink coontails, now I have to do 2 black streaks and more black coontails... aswell as get my college work done :/

I hate splat, I used the red, It looked like a murder scene in my bathroom when I rinsed it out. It runs so bad and I just hate it. I prefer Manic Panic. I used beyond the zone and that doesnt work either, it comes out way to fast, my hair was bleached like white blonde, and I dyed it blue with beyond the zone, left it in for an hour and used heat, in one to two washes it was a pale green :/

I put blue in my bangs two years ago and it has only faded a lil but b/c I bleached my whole head
