I'm getting made fun of because of my accent. I have a British accent i dont use anymore. the only reason i dont use it. is because when i was little i was made fun of because of it and i'd much rather use it then my american accent, What do i do

I say use the one you want and are most comfortable with. People make fun of you just because they are jealous! British accents are boss. :) I understand how you feel. I grew up in 'the city' where there is diverse speaking and accents. As a result I have this sort of odd 'ghetto' spanish accent. Since moving into the country, I've been made fun of because sometimes I don't know the english for some words or I say things wierd. It sucks but the people you talk with the most will get over it.

Agree'd^ British Accent's are fit ;pp I mean come on, Russel Brand o_o' Ignore the hater's because (I know this might be old-school) they're just jealous & have nothing else in they're pathetic little life's than to pick on innocent people. You see, people bully & pick on people for all different reasons. Some bully because they're jealous, been bullied, are bored >_<, has/had a hard life, thinks they're better than everyone else & more reasons. Just ignore the hater's & accept all the love & happiness into your life brought by the people who care about you <33

I thinks you should use which ever accent you want... You could even switch it up if you want......doesnt matter what people think cause you have people that care....... So just tell them to Shove it!

Well American's are ignorant. I went to soccer camp this summer and all of our coaches were british and people kept asking them to say the steryotypical British phrases such as "Hello, govenor." or "May I have some tea and crumpets?" Whatever accent you do decide to use, just ignor those ignorant assholes

i can speak in an american accent, but sometimes my other accent comes out, its like a mix of australian, german, scottish, country hick and spanish. I don't know how to describe it, but if I get really stressed or hyper about something when i'm talking the accent will just come out, and some words sound really weird. Also if I get really mad I start going off in german.

That's sooo cute!:D Unfortunately, I has no accent except one of those dumb-ass English ones, not the buff English accent ];
