Emo Scene Community

...What makes me more mad is that the person who commented actually described a Goth stereotype than an Emo/Scene one, haha. I mean, where did he get that? Scene kids totally dress brighter than emo kids. Generally speaking, of course. :3 Anyways, I've learned people are ignorant and all you can do is educate them. Doesn't suprise me much.

What The Fuck, okay this makes me want to beat someone with a club -.- Emo was a genre of music from the 80s it developed through it's mainstream period in the mid 90s also known as secondwave emocore, then it evolved to what it is today. It had the sub-genre screamo which was more aggressiveness; played with faster downbeats and speedy lyrics. Emo is also a culture formed by the musical fans. The clothing of course is a much more lighter version of goth, emo has no guidelines or anything, don't stand for shit, and does not describe a personality. It's just a "group" for people with common interests within music/art/poetry/fashion etc. While scene, or as i like to call them "neon-emos" are an even lighter version that started the genre i like to call technical screamo which is more of a mixture between techno/dubstep and screamo music "Blood On The Dancefloor, Brokencyde, Breathe Carolina" such close to that i think. That is of course just my personal opinion. People tend to think Emo is a view of life the truth is as we've experienced through this site, the only common thing about the view we have on the world is that it is rather dark but it has some light. Other than that, emos have their own personal opinions about the world as one and one and not a group, some within may have, but the term emo itself is today very open. I wouldn't say emo is a behavior either, more a behavior model for sympathy, empathy and emotives. "emotives are expressions of emotions" Yeah things like this annoy me. The truth is most REAL emos don't cut. People who are labeled emo by others for cutting may consider themselves emo but they are not. You're not born Emo, Goth, Punk or Scene, it's a matter of choice and taste, and tastes can always change depending on the situation, one day you might like the color purple the next it could be red. I've never heard of scenekids cutting though, i'm no big fan of them either cause they seem to make their own culture and gets pissed if they're called emo. I've seen alot of hate on scenekids from the metalside though. The description reminded me of spiritual satanism, of course you have 2 types of satanism, Atheist Satanism, where they use Satan as a model of behavior that means "one who questions, or opposer". well i'm not going further into that, that's off topic anyways, yeah most got the wrong look on emo. It's quite sad really, I blame the daily mail for it.

I like how a lot of people think that scene kids are people who "dress like emos but don't have the emotion". It's funny because A) I'm just as emotional as anyone else in the world, happy is an emotion too which is what I am most of the time. I've had depression, but that didn't automatically make me an emo. Everyone feels emotions, and I can be pretty damn deep when I want to be. B) Scene fashion and emo fashion are completely different. It's embarrassing...

Scene is like a Random rainbow with sprinkles and chocolate chips on it, lol yes it makes me mad but i try not to let stuff like that bother me too much

I don't see how Scene fashion differs from eMo Fashion when scene itself originated from eMo, the only difference i see are the colors, i don't like neon-colored clothing >.< idk i just makes people look technosexual =_= u know...people who...are sexually attracted to computers and shizz like that xD O.O nvm

agreed, but another difference is, (and no I'm not trying to bash on scene kids because it might just be at my school that its like this) but the scene kids at my school claim that they enjoy being different, and yet they try and recruit more "scenesters" that could pull off the look, I let one of them tease my hair and got bitched at all day because one of the kids "stole" that haircut from a kid named Ryan at our school (an original scene kid) where-as the Emo kids at our school don't care about labels, dont care about looks, they just want to chill (I guess I dunno how to put it lol)

Okay, what REALLY makes me mad, is when scene kids say that EMO came from SCENE DDD: AHH ! Just go to that site LuvEmo.com, you'll know what I'm talking about -.- Personally I don't like "scene," and if I go into my personal opinions about it I'm sure I'll make some people mad, so as much as I want to vent about "scene kids", I'm going to shutup now to save everyone's sanity :D

Niikkkii- wow spelled that wrong (kinda added extra letters but im too lazy to retype it, yet i typing this) that would piss me off, and we dont have any scene/emo kids here.. we have goths tho.. but like.. theres aybe like 2 emos.. jojo- been to that site before, and it pisses me off too, usually i try not to let shit like this bother me, but im finally fuckiinnn sick of this shit
