Your words, They roll off of my shoulders. Because you never truly know me, Unless you're sober. You try to solve my problems, Because you can't face your own. So many skeletons, In the closets of this dysfunctional home. And when depression hits you too hard, The pain goes on for days. Jack Daniels, Corona, Tequila and Beer, To wash away the pain. So many years ago, I wanted to be like you. I was a child, and over the years, I grew. And realized that this burning liquid, Is the medicine that you take. To run away from this world, so full of hate. The light in your eyes has fizzled out. And I fear, that looking at you, Is like looking at the future me. You broke. You broke. How sad. I refuse to make your mistakes. My promises are genuine, never fake. I'll bend. I'll bend. But I will not break. My Mom has an alcohol problem :/ That's where the inspiration came from...

JesusChrist, that's bloody amazing! It's so deep & It's plain to see how you really feel. I've never in my whole entire life read a poem that deep & amazing that you can actually connect to it. I'm like, blown away. That's one awesome poem!:D You have a real talent;3

Dude, this poem went around the bush, owned the bush, pwned the bush & beat the bush hands down, fair & square 10x! N'aww;3 I just like to speak my mind & put a smile on people's faces[: People don't really realize what they have until' they really find out. Some crap quote I just made up right now x]

Well the quote aint so bad! There's a famous similar saying "you never know what you've got til its gone" so I guess you're saying find out what you've got before you lose it! Monkeybutt's totally right, this poem is amazing. Completely. I love the lines "You broke. You broke. How sad - I'll bend. I'll bend. But I will not break." That's PURE GENIUS ;0

Pure genius indeed! I can't even find a quote to describe how great this is! Poems from the heart always come out so much better! Stay strong and don't break!
