My eyelid's flutter as behind my scared closed eyes the images rush back to mind The secrets & truth clawing to get out All the hatred that has scarred me for all to see burns as it begins to bleed I see the screwed up face of life but hide from the dark eyes of death I'm falling, help, someone catch me the darkness has returned! Blinded with no light to enlighten the path no escape route, no escape hole I'm trapped. I scream but it echo's back to me RESCUE ME! HELP! no reply is to be heard but the slight whisper of pale skin breaking the cuts get deeper the blood forms rivers, lakes, oceans but it doesn't stop. I'm drowning in the pool of blood pleading & crying for a second chance but life turns it's back on me. Slowly the screams become less & fade into the deep darkness of red. This is probably the first poem I've ever really, wrote properly. I know it's a bit long but I wanted to really express how I felt. It's about self-harming & how one night I self-harm so badly that I die. How all the memories & misery I've felt in my life rushing back to me, so much hatred that I'm not strong enough to take it & end up dying from self-harming. Sounds horrible I know ;/

this is good work; emotional, good imagery and ( it's not too long :). No poem is ever long enough! This is good for a first try ( and it is good in itself) i totally agree with Matt..such good poetry on this site!
