I dated a boy named Dan for 2 1/2 years, at first everything was amazing till i wouldnt have sex with him and every day after that he got more and more abusive...but everytime he hit me he said "I didnt mean to, I love you", I knew he was lying..but i couldn't leave him..i loved him well i still love him... Then he broke up with me on Valentines Day.

I'm really sry to hear that :( but it's prob for the better My mom was the same with Chris (my father) he was nice and sweet when she did what he wanted her to do but when she was pregnant with me and he found out I was a girl he almost killed my mother and I he punched her in the stomach and knocked her down and kicked her until my grandma came in and saw what was happening. Chris is a terrible man and I hope ur ex won't end up like him you're a gorgeous girl and can do some much better than someone who will hurt you hope this helps once again I'm sry :(

I am happy that u feel better now :-) and I know what u have been going through since my ex/my first boyfriend was sweet and caring at first but then he started to get violent if I didnt agreed with some things that he said and he blamed me for everything that went wrong in that relationship :-( and he almost killed me by hitting my head really hard against the wall sometimes for example and then when I was sad and begged him to stop then he just got all depressed and I was forced to say sorry for making him sad *sighs* and I was with him for a year until he dumped me on facebook , such a bloody asshole! But I am fine now thanks to all the support from the lovely people on here :-) <3 x

Its a hard thing to do because you love someone and want to believe them all the time but there comes a point when you know they are lying to you and themselves and that you have to let them go. I stayed with a guy even thought he pressured me into doing things with him and lying to friends and family. He hit me a few times and of course i put up with it because he always said sorry but there comes a point where you have to be brave and say your worth more than that and leave them.

Yes, maybe not physically but mentally that's all I go for, is guys that are just going to leave me scarred in the long run... Hell if my ex (and best friend) were to ask me out right now, I'd say yes because of how much I love him, even though he's put me thru HELL
