Opinons on them? Personally, I think they're great if you're wondering how a piercing will look before you actually do it or if your 'rents don't want you to have them, or another legitamate reason. I don't, however, think it's cool if you're just too chicken to get a real one. A lot of people on the net (I've noticed) think it's 'poser-ish' to wear fake piercings. I don't think so, because you can be a 'poser' even if you get the real thing done. Anyways, I was just wondering your thoughts about them because I cannot nor will I ever get real (in my case lip) piercings done for several legitimate reasons.

As long as you don't over-do them :) I mean what the heck, why not? It's just like using fake eyelashes or hair extensions

I agree with what mentioned above; fake piercings are great and they're just like using fake eyelashes and hair extensions. It comes in "great" handy for the people who can never get real ones or won't get real ones soon (like me) ;p I've been trying to find both real and fake piercings in my town but no luck so far :/

I can't ever get a real lip piercing cuz I play flute & saxophone :P so I love my fake rings XD but tbh, after having worn my fake rings many, many times, I've realised that I'd probably get quite annoyed with a real one, so I think it's probably a wise thing to try out a fake piercing before getting the real thing xD I don't do this with my ears though, I go straight in and get it done xD

Fake piercings, they rule me x] Since' my mum is very anti-piercing I'm left with no choice ;L Fake Ear-Plugs, Fake Lip Rings, Fake Spiderbites, Fake Belly-Button Rings, Fake Upper-Ear Earrings, yeah, everything x] For some reason, I'm a piercing-holic. But I agree, it's best to get a fake piercing before to see what it looks like ;3 xx

Good to know that others feel the same as me. *BIGSIGHOFRELIEF* Good, I didn't want to be laughed at or something. I'd love to say it wouldn't bother me, but after a while it would. I really like the comparison of fake eyelashes and hair extensions. It's exactly like that, but I never heard of anyone explaining it that way! It makes a lot of sense. Thanks.

Well there fine I've own one in the past. I only think its fakerish when people go round telling others there real. That's how you spot posers they lie about things that don't really matter too much

Do fake ones fall off easy though? The ones I tried ages ago were pretty crap on my lips.

I don't like fake lip rings (on myself) because I have a tendency to bite at lip piericings and I had a fake piericing on for about a week and it bruised (and scarred) my lip from when I'd mess with it

i only used fake lip/nose piercings before i took real piercings on myself and fake piercings r just plain shitty! x

...Even when I am an adult, based on my culture your parents are in charge of little things like that until the day they die or you're married. I am raised REALLY old school... Anyways, I'm probably going to shop around for fake ones online. They sell fake gauges @ hot topic, but I don't think they sell fake lip rings.
