Hot Topic Extended Sizes Aug 08 2011, 08:01 AM
I'm not the skinniest person. I'm no size 3, which seems to be all that Hot Topic has. They said they were going to extend the extended sizes, but they barely did. All they have for "bigger" people are pants with huge chains on them, not that I have problem with them, it's just that my parents don't want me wearing them, n' they're just around $70. Does anyone else find this annoying? And does anyone know of another alternative store like Hot Topic with extended sizes?

Oh man, Blake, I'm really sorry to hear about that. I never realized that Hot Topic really doesn't make many clothes for people who are plus sized. I'll do some research and see if there's a way to bring this to Hot Topic's attention. Hopefully, they'll see how bad that makes them look. As for other stores, I don't know if you have these or not but try: Rainbow, Forever21, PacSun, Claire's(cheap accessories), Amuse(accessories, way more money than Claire's), Ross, Dots, Melrose, Macy's. Imosh.com, ebtm.com, heartbreakerclothing.net, SmartPunk.com(mainly for band stuff), LoudClothing.com(Definitely this one) are good places to shop if you're okay with ordering things offline? Most of these places won't be 'Emo' enough, but you can probably add your own touch to the clothes and make them match your style :)

I kinda understand what you mean, but its in reverse... Hottopic is the ONLY store in my state that sells my pants size... (24W 32L) so it kinda sucks if i just want normal clothes, ya know? so anyone know any NORMAL stores that sell 24W 32L's?

Um, Blake, ignore the store PacSun. They're worse than Hot Topic apparently, when it comes down to bigger sizes.

Ooh! Ooh! I understand completely. As a latina, my hips are...Are not very narrow... SO! Best place ever: Torrid. It's owned by Hot Topic but it's specifically for plus sized ladies. Go search for it. I think it's just Torrid.com.
