I'll wait for you, I cross my heart. Dissolve and decay, there's nothing left for me. (Right now) This fire's dying down, there's nothing left to see. (Right now) Dissolve And Decay, by Hawthorne Heights

I've kept on doing things to myself and I don't know why. I cut myself, each time seeming to do it deeper so it hurts for longer. I hit and punch myself, I done it so much I gave myself bruises around my eye and had to tell my mum that I tripped and fell, I constanly hit and scratch myself. All of those things scared my because I enjoy them, and I don't want to stop. Lately I've started suffocating myself, I tie things around my neck, or cover my mouth with something so I can't breath. I can't even explain how wonderful the feeling is. I know I could die doing it, so why do I want to do it more. I'm already on 40 grams of citalopram and in therapy and I can't seem to stop doing this to myself.

I'm assuming you want to stop this? See I believe you can, if you try, but don't expect to stop everything at once. What concerns me most is that you're suffocating yourself, so if you can, try to stop this first. Normally I wouldn't recommend other forms of self harm, but in this case, I would say try to use the other methods rather than trying to suffocate yourself, and once you feel ready, try to stop those as well. I understand how difficult it will be, I'm a self harmer myself, but if you REALLY want to stop, then you can, though it will be difficult. For the moment, don't be afraid to stay on the citalopram, but don't up your dosage, and certainly keep going to therapy, but don't be afraid to ask for a different form of therapy or a new therapist if you don't feel it's working out. I'm not sure if the system works differently in England to Scotland, but if it IS the same, different authorities offer different therapies and you're perfectly within your right to ask for information about the other forms they offer.
