I want to tell you That I had a good day, today. I'd like to say That I know how to change. And if kissing you Would make it all better I'd kiss you. If hugging you Would make it all better I would. But if making it better Meant no more sweet embraces Then I'd never touch you again. Because, darling, I think that I love you. And, darling, That fills me with fear. Because, darling, I doubt you'd believe it if I told you And that is why I cry these Salty tears. And I'd like to tell you I've moved on with my love life. I'd like to say That I've found someone else. But he won't ever Make my heart race The way that you do. And he doesn't Say sweet dreams As sweetly as you. And, yes, he might Be a little bit older But he'll never quite match up to you. Because, darling, I think that I love you. And, darling, That fills me with fear. Because, darling, I doubt you'd believe it if I told you And that is why I cry these Salty tears.
