Guys with short hair Sep 09 2011, 10:08 PM

So i got a question, do you think a guy(or girl I guess :P) can pull off "emo" with short hair? This just intrigues me cause as much as I wish I looked good with long hair I just plain and simply don't... It's a hot mess. So in your opinions, does the hair make or break the emo look?(if you understand what I mean... xD)

No i really dont think it has much to do with the length it has to do with the style. it is better to look good in short hair and have more to do with it then have long hair that just looks bad. i personally feel like i have always been able to pull of the "emo look" with my hair short.

Emo look is a stereotype and even though we are happy to accept the fact we are emo there is no written law about what you have to look like and wear to be emo. If you want short hair its your choice break the boundaries of 'normal' emo's. some people dont suit long hair some dont suit short its just one of those things in life.

I think I rock the short hair look when it comes to girls very nicely... but I have to grow it out because "Emo style is not acceptable up north?" (quote from my parents... I have to change my whole style this winter) and My boyfriend actually had hair down to his shoulders, then he cut it to the Justin Bieber length (after Justin Bieber got his haircut) and he recently went to jail and they shaved his head.... and I must say that he pulls off the short hair look very nicely, and he is emo

Depends how short you mean. At the end of the day though your best having it however it suits you best anyway.

Thats ironic. :/ You'd think down south it wouldn't be accepted, I mean you got the hardcore redneck trash down there. Up north its not as bad.

Depends. I live in FL... Thats WAAYYYYY south, and yeah we get our share of rednecks, but really its mostly dominated by urban kids, ghetto kids, and hispanic kids... the whole "south = loads of rednecks" idealism isn't as true as most northeners believe... at least that is true as of here in FL.
