i dont think all preps are bad either Jan 08 2012, 04:48 PM
People believe that all preps are the ones who are concieted, rude, loud, cheerleaders, and bitches who make fun of people with less than what they have. To tell the truth a lot of the preps at my school are like this. But not all of them get everything, ive been to several "preps" houses and they don't have everything. I have two friends who are more "preppy" than me. My one friend took me to youth group and I realized she is a lot like me. I listen to gorillaz and murdoc has an upside down cross ye wears when someone asks about it she says the gorillaz are very satanic. Which they aren't and she also says they are emo ( Gorillaz is only one person ), which they aren't either. So my mom used to be like me and she had a very legitimate reason to hate "preps" b/c the ones she went to school with were always making fun of the "nerds". That's why I hate preps too I just don't hate all of them. So please tell me why you hate he preppier girls/ jockey boys.

I find that people who fall under the "prep" and "jock" category have ego issues. But, then again, what do I know, I haven't met them all.... But, the ones that go to my school can be pretty annoying at times. I have met some really kind and caring people who also fall under that category.

Yeah and it seems like they are labeled just like the people on this site are labled emo I don't think being labeled means you have to follow the lifestyle and personality

There are always going to be people you don't get on with and think are 'bad' regardless of their so-called label. For example even some people classed as emo/scene really do my head in.

I'm in agreement with you. You can't say every single person in one group is exactly the way that group is stereotyped. Heck, I've met preps I thought were nice. I usually don't relate to them very well or become their friend, but sometimes they like me. And heck, I've met a few emo kids I don't like. Yet I love this subculture. I nearly dated a guy that wears preppy clothes and is obviously someone who would be considered "popular" at my school if he were to go to my school (he doesn't); we didn't end up getting together but he's still one of my best friends and has a lot more to him than he exhibits on the outside. He's kinda preppy (idk if HE'd call himself that, who knows) but we relate to each other and kind of clicked I mean, I'll admit sometimes I say "I hate preps" but I really just mean the bitchy, stereotypical ones everyone thinks of. Nobody can say with truth that they're all bad Every individual is unique, whether they decide to follow a subculture or not, so you can't really say you hate every person who decides to follow a certain subculture. Unless you're just shallow, of course. And I hope no one on here is :)
