Small town, to big city. Jan 11 2012, 04:50 PM
In a little over a week, I'm being moved from the small town I grew up in. To a much bigger place where I'm not going to know anyone. I don't know what I'm most scared of, people not understanding me, having no where to sit at lunch, or my friends back home slowly but surely forgetting about me. I'm terrified to go to this new school. Huge compared to the one I go to now. If anyone could give me some advice that'd be great?

I also moved to a big city from a small town. Just...try to get through it. You will meet at least one nice person at school. It will be hard the first few days or a week, just talk to people. Maybe you will find even better friends at this city than your old one :) I know it's hard to lose your old friends, but think about new friends you're gonna have at your new school. And you know what? If someone doesn't like you at your new school? Tell them to fuck off. There are haters everywhere, and I know there are some bitches that like to pick on new kids. Ignore them and get through the day. Meet people, talk with people, it will eventually get better :) (and sorry if this didn't help, I'm not good on giving advice... 8])

Be yourself... I did the complete opposite, and big cities aren't as bad as they sound... they're actually just like smaller towns but bigger
