She left me once for reasons unknown, Left me to fend for myself alone, Gave her everything and all I had, Playing the fool it drove me mad, Trusted her again with another chance, I did believe in love at first glance, But know that’s over I lost all hope, Like starting a car with a broken jump rope, I grew weak and played a ghost, I had fallen down more than most, Sleepless nights and dying days, Don’t need pity and don’t want praise, I am a nothing that’s why she’s gone, Sitting in darkness until the break of dawn, Repeating memories of what you did, A path downhill that I quickly slid, Torment from a broken heart from you, She made me fade to black and blue, Since that day life went in reverse, Since that day I was blessed with a curse, Until I found another who loved me so, I have her now and won’t ever let go, A distance away but I love her more, She lights my fire and sooths my core, Look in her eyes to see her beauty, When with her I’m off duty, Spend the time having a good time, Loving her 24/7 and on overtime.
