Okay so I need help. It's not about me this time! My best friend has been having so much shit in her life lately &she started scratching at her skin & then told me she almost started cutting last night! She asked for advise and I gave her the best I could give but I need help. What else can I tell her. She cant start she just can't, I can't let her, please someone help us out...

okay right, i used to scratch the backs of my hands before i started cutting my wrists so i think what you need to do is show her that you care a lot about her and make sure you are always there for her. im sure you do this anyway but it is the most important thing to do also tell her to look up NSHN as it is currently helping me it can give you ways to calm yourself when you are feeling angry or upset. also tell her that scratching might lead to scars as it has with me. i hope she can get over this and make sure you are strong for her!!! hope this helped :/xx
