I just wrote this. Through the tears Through the pain All I see Is the knife The blade Glinting and sharp Calls to me It whispers like the midnight breeze Taunts me like the people around me Speaks the words that make up my mind “You’re worthless You’re pathetic You’re useless And you’re a waste of breath” Slowly The blade cuts through my skin Blood flows through the wound And the knife wants more It cuts And cuts And cuts Until Until a puddle of blood is below my arm Until blood is streaked down my arm and down my side Until there is no visible skin left Until finally, The light fades The knife It laughs at me as I fall, Weak from the wounds it inflicted I’m too late to save The knife has won There’s nothing left But the blood
