There's a box of secrets under my bed, a basket of verses I hide in my head My little oak dresser drawer disguises my pain, the medicine drawer keeps the monsters away. The corner of which the boys used to have fun? Now filled with ghosts of things all said and done. There's three hearts in my closet who cry out at night perhaps it's my guilt, just covered by fright. My diary's half empty, with eight pages skipped, fifty-two unwritten, and seventeen ripped, that doesn't mean that my story's done, or that nothing has happened, the story begun a decade and four ago, though it doesn't seem much do you know what happen when you don't have good luck? There's a can of ambition that I haven't touched, a heart of compassion that's been beaten and crushed, a little island in the mirror where my dreams ran away, and a mind that keeps on thinking; tomorrow's annother day.
