Hey everyone (: Well this isn't a life or death issue but I'd appreciate your opinions' Mmkay well the thing is that I plan on getting snakebites for my 16th birthday which is the 14th of this month and I plan on applying for jobs as soon as possible so the thing I'm worried about is that the piercings will affect my chances of getting a job. So now on to the main point lol. I was wondering if you guys think I should wait until i get a job to get my second lip piercng(Snakebites) or should i just get the snakebites right away? Thanks everyone (:

I'm afraid about it too... Well.. Maybe more about tatoos.. I want one on my wrist (rather visible)and only thinking about getting a job keeps me now from doing this... But I'll do it someday. There are still many options for ppl with so called alternative appearance. I don't want to give up myself to the system!

Definitely get the job first and then get the snake bites and I totally agree with Mido.

Agreed, definitely get the job first and then the snake bites. Far, far too many places will judge you on appearance, particularly facial piercings and tattoos, and you can always wear fake ones in the meantime. I can completely empathise with you, I really want to dye my hair blue but where I work and where I'm about to start work would never allow it :( Which is why I'm only planning on staying in employment for a few years so I can build up some funds to start my self-employment! *insert evil laugh here* xD

Snakebites first, then 2 months later look for a job, then you can just take them out for work/interviews. If you get the piercing AFTER you get a job, you have to wait 2 months to take them out, the job you have may fire you if you come to work one day and be like, "oops, well looks like you'll have to deal with it boss". Trust me, I have snakebites, and because they're healed I just take them out for work.

i waz thinkin of gettin a lip ring or snakebites. but i heard it can cause more cavitys through time if you get a lip piercing...
