I have to say when I went into Blue Banana in Birmingham the other day there appeared to be far more girls clothing than guys clothes... Do you find this with many 'alternative' fashion stores? What's Hot Topic like in America as we don't have them in the UK? Is the store full of stuff for girls or a pretty even balance?

Hot Topic in America is balanced.. Well.. It depends on where you go.. Like where I live, there's mostly girls' stuff. But when I went to Missouri, the Hot Topic in Zona Rosa was balanced. There were guy and girl clothes and accessories and stuff :3

tbh i think half of alternative clothing or assessories seem to be unisex that could just be me

I've never been in an actual Blue Banana store D= but I do have two small, local alternative clothing stores, one of which caters completely for girls, but the other is pretty equal.

Normally i find it's the other way round espcailly in Blue Bannana ... what happening to the word darkness ? it was so light in there XD

Put your sunglasses on next time xD By girls clothing I meant cute little tops, skirts and dresses. Don't think I'll be wearing them haha!

I've been to 2 Hottopics before, and they are pretty much balanced. I found that the larger the store, the more balanced it is. The larger store I went to was about half and half. The store that's closest to me has more guys clothing though. The guys section has more jeans and shirts, but the girls have more accesories. Although, the girls around my area that do shop there usually buy guys clothes anyway.

I haven't been in Blue Banana or Hottopic (unfortunately) before but my nearest alternative store is called 'In The Dark'. They had to redo the shop because people were complaining about it being too claustrophobic. Ever since' then they've had more of both guy & girl stuff. Before all their band t-shirts were only for guys & they only two tiny rails for girls t-shirts. Also, they only had like 2 types of girl jeans & then the rest would be guy stuff. But now I buy all my t-shirt's from there. Even tho` they have terrible music playing.
