Hey guys :D I had a college induction day last week just to get a taster of college before i start in September. There where a handful of people that I would class as "Emo's" there in my year. In my school in must be the only alternative person in my whole school, no lie, so it woul be great and amazing to get friends with the same intrests as me. As it was an induction day at lunch no one mingled wiht anyone from a different school but all the "Emo's" there kept looking around at other "Emo's". There was this girl there who well her jeans where AMAZING. I wanted to steal them off her and she was with her friends. I really regret not talking to them. Any advice oon how in September how can I just introduce myself to them. Im really worried. (I know its stupid) Thanks x

Just build up the confidence and go over and say Hi and talk about music or something. Everyone is pretty much in the same boat and wanting to make new friends. Some people of course won't wanna bother being friends with you, but many surely will :)

I've been in very similar positions many times! But the main thing you have to think to yourself is that you know you have at least one thing in common - your style! Why not start off complementing their style? Or where they got new clothing item/what hair dye they used?

just be yourself :) eventually, hopefully, you'll mingle with them and take any opitunity such as if your next to one of them one time say hi or give them a smile or eye contact :) you will find people of all styles in collage to be honest whatever collage you go to :) it's probably because people change and are more willing to open up to who they really are as people trat eachother with respect unlike some annoying school kids XD

plus to be honest i do believe people change when they hit 15/16. They might be the norm in school but then turn out 'emo' or 'metalhead' when they hit 15/16 or go to collage. As i said it's cause people are equal in collage ive been at colage for a year now and have had nothing in terms of bullying :)

I prefer situations like that, tbh. I'll talk to any one about anything, and people usually are in the same boat. When I went down for my art taster sessions, there were only four other people there and we were all kind of awkward and quiet at first. But by the time it was over, we'd all facebooked each other and now chat every so often and are trying to become well acquainted before september. People usually feel just as shy as you do, but just say hi and talk about something. The thing I talked about was Doctor Who ~ OwO ~
