Long distance realationship..? Jul 13 2012, 07:24 AM
So, I've got a question.. I have a kind of bf, well we are very, very good friends and we love each other (but we both don't know in which way) But the prob is, I live in the Netherlands (Europe) and he in South Africa.. Does that work? At least we can be best friends after all, he's going through a lot right now, so am I. We really support eachother :3 And we are pen pals, I'm going to draw and make so many thing for him and send it to him c: But what do you guys think.. will this ever work out?

I think it might! I have been with my boyfriend since I was 15, I'm now 19, we had always lived close to eachother but when I went to uni, I really struggled with missing him but our releationship still worked with a phone call everynight! But I took a year out of uni because I was soooo bored and our releationship is still going strong! :) hope that helped! Stella x

Long distance can certainly work from experience, but that far apart is hit and miss if you'll rarely meet.

To be honest, it all depends on the two people in the relationship & how much they're willing to give. Because some guys say they love you for 2 months after being apart & then just lose interest. But just because mine failed, doesn't mean yours will. I'd just advise you to be careful. Because it's doubt that kills the relationship. And I'd also clarify what you kind of relationship you guys are having, if I were you. Otherwise, he could think you're just friends & then you end up feeling like an idiot. But if you don't try, you'll always think back & wonder what would've happened if you did try..
