Boarding School .-. Jul 31 2012, 08:40 AM
Okay so it might be a bit late to ask this but...Okay so I'm going to boarding school in about 8 days now ^o^. I mean it's a good school right but I feel I will miss my family and friends A LOT. I tell everyone I'm going there to get a better education, but there is another reason: To get away from my parents...I know it's cruel but we all need some space right? And I have done some things like.....knock a boy a grade higher than me down with a car door ~chuckles~ BUT it was an accident. So I think my friends kinda hate me now...And I want to know If I actually am making the right decision, cause you know I'm 13, some people say I'm a bit young to be away from my family. I feel I did make the right decision, even though there is some doubt, but having someone else tell me right from wrong right now is needed. Since you know some of you are older. Oh and if I should stay, then should I like switch between others or just stay at that one? Thank you. c:

Well the deshion is up to you .. I whent to boarding school when i was 8 till i was 10 and my brother is currently at one... you get some weekends off and away from school to see family and freinds etc as well as the normal holidays and most schools have boarders activities at the weekends so you get to know the rest of the people in your boarding house etc And you can always ring them ,email etc them in your spare time and evenings like my brother dose with me to update them on things from my experaince i learnt things that you can never learn at a stadard school such as how to be independant away from family/freinds and basicaly how to stand on my own two feet etc whitch i can say has set me in good sted for where i am now As long as you feel you can cope with being away from them.. I'd say go for it but ultimatly it's up to you to decided I hope this helps you

I went to a boarding school when I was 15 and lived there for 3 years. Somehow it sucked but on the other hand it was ok and I don't regret. For me it was better. But I don't know what is better for u. And I was coming home at weekends. ^ ^

Well my parents live FAR from the school I'm going to, so I will only see them in the Christmas and Summer o.o but now that I know I'm not the only person I 'know' that went to boarding school, it gives me much of a relief c:

as said it's up to you if you want to go boarding school but don't lose connection with your family as you'll most likely regret it if you do if possible try and see them or them come to you every now and then as yes it's nice to be by yourself or just with mates but eventually you'll probably will miss your perants and they will miss you too
